Well Adam, thus is the way of the woodstock boys. A damn good competition though. Sorry that I couldn't gather enough support back home, but a load of favorites, a lot of votes, and many many views isn't something to laugh at. Good showing, and I myself, and what I can honestly say must be "HUNDREDS" of other people can't wait to see your future works. Feels good doesn't it? As usual, if you need any help just let me know. You did good Adam, damn good. Next time we get a chance I would like to hear about your works in progress.
John.

Thanks javi9446 and Lillyv. :)

I'll be plenty busy with new stuff regardless of the Zuda results! If BLEED doesn't win this month I'll be posting the other finished pages on my blog and will continue to post updates on the project there. I will also be starting a new Zuda submission, one I'm really excited about and eager to get started on. So check into my blog once in a while to keep up to date on both of those projects as well as random sketches, comic strips, etc.

With 9 and a half hours left to the competition, if anyone wants to start breaking thumbs and forcing friends to vote, now would be the time to do so! lol
There's still hope for BLEED in this competition, but only with an insane and quick amount of support. Otherwise, BLEED can hopefully with some luck and your support be back for Zuda's next invitational competition which sees past competitors return for a second chance at winning.
*
Thanks for the amazing support this past month everyone. Luiza and I both sincerely appreciate it and we hope you'll all stick with us in 2009!

blackdog - I'm assuming they came from voters..? And yes you're right, I have been "busy running up the votes" by spreading the word and promoting my comic as much as possible the last few days. Sorry there aren't more comments for you to read. I'll be sure all my promotional efforts from here on out encourage comments. People leaving comments is not something in my control though so there's not much I can guarantee. If you think every vote should be accompanied with a comment then you could bring it up with the Zuda staff. There's not alot I can do about it. Thanks.

Still lots more artwork and stuff to read at my blog: www.AdamAthertonPresents.blogspot.com.

PS: The 8th question by The Big Bad Wolf in the interview on Comicmonsters.com was not part of the interview. That seems to be a mistake, cause I certainly didn't cowrite anything with a Steven Saunders. I don't know who that is. Regardlesss though, I think the article turned out really well and they chose some good images to post alongside it.

Thanks everyone. It's great to see so many long time fans and supporters of my artwork show up here recently to support my comic endeavor BLEED. Many of you have been around for many years offering me incredible feedback on my art, and it's really kept me motivated and inspired and brought me to the point where I've been able to put together a comic and get in into the spotlight a little like this. I owe you all everything cause without you I wouldn't have the skills or ability to put something like this together. Thanks a million and I hope you all continue to watch my work as I progress forward. I've got some ideas and comic projects I'm really excited about already lined up for the next year, regardless of the outcome of this competition.
*
Best of luck to Dean and his comic Aeon of the Dead which is currently still holding tight on first place. Obviously my intent is to take first place from him (haha), but he's got a great comic that I would enjoy reading more of and he's a very grateful guy and honestly I'd be happy to see Aeon of the Dead win if not BLEED. Having said this, please still vote for BLEED which is a passionate and explorative essay on my life growing up in the sticks and my perspective of it after escaping to the city. I promise you you'll love every surprise coming and the characters that haven't yet been introduced as well as all the BLOOD in 100% cartoon realism! There's no implied violence here, it's all 100% explicit and you'll love it. We're going to go from girl's chatting about boys and high school to blood and gore splattering the walls and I guarantee you will enjoy every exploitative moment of it... unless you've had someone close to you brutally murdered, then it might just scar you or send you off the deep end with a machette and a homocidal agenda...

Thanks everyone. You all mean alot to me and my future as an artist.
It's Christmas eve and I've got alot of stuff to do but the least I can do is thank you all individually. ;)

Woodstock is a small and insignificant town on the East coast of Canada. Tucked away along a highway connecting the dots of civilization; overlooked, isolated. Unless you find yourself in desperate need of a restroom or fuel on your way to a more important place, you’ll never even know it exists. With a winter storm raging, the paranoia of what exists outside the small town’s limits has reached a fevered pitch among its inhabitants. Its neighboring city, a mecca of urban decadence, has been plagued by a series of violent and bloody murders. Unsolved cases, brutal and seemingly senseless, only confirm to the panicked townspeople that the city has truly begun its complete descent into corruption and chaos. Lest there be a spillover of destructive influence, the town has retreated into itself. Andy is not a popular girl, nor is she an outsider. Low key and intelligent, she is the center of a group of friends who all teeter on the fringe of the high school social circle. Every one of them has hopes that reach far beyond the town’s limits, dreams that are as diverse as their hairstyles. However, what none of them yet know is that the paths to their dreams are about to hit some very real snags. Their stay in Woodstock might be far shorter then they had hoped as a trail of blood leading from the big city finds it’s way into their town and directly into their lives. Long buried secrets are unearthed as we discover that depravity and evil are not limited to the city.
