I really like this comic. But it really confuses me. Here are three things I loved and Three things I didn't quite get...
------
1. Having the entire cast in animal costumes instead of just talking animals is pure genius!
2. A frog bartender and a rich old cougar/panther/fierce cat woman were outstanding choices!
3. I love that the pink guys bling letters are b $ which I took to mean either 'bull ****' or 'bear suit' which makes me laugh!
---------------
1. So in your world I can hire someone to kill me and my lover?
2. Am I that suicidal/vindictive?
3. And apparently its a really large sum to have myself and lover blown up...I can understand that, but...damn I'll just read it again and try to figure it out for myself!
------
This comic is well drawn (although I think it'd look alot better if you had made it less refined...kinda like Paul Popes work) and well written! You gotta ah fav from me and all the stars in the sky!

The numbers for THE ACCOUNTANTS have been incredible, and I'm pleased that Zuda invited me to compete this month. Sure, it's been a helluva ride. I'm looking forward to a prosperous 2009. Perhaps there will be more THE ACCOUNTANTS?

Needless to say, I've been overwhelmed this month by your generosity. I'll have more to say, and you can find it over at my website: robosborne.net Also, if you want to drop me a note, email me at: rob@robosborne.net

count down time, less than an hour to go, vote for the accountants! If you voted for another one which isn't in the top two, it'll probably just be a wasted vote, so vote for the accountants!

I've been a follower of your work for some time now and have always loved your out of the ordinary ideas. Your creative endeavors do not confine themselves to "the box". You are one to dare go outside of "the box". Three cheers for brilliant artwork, superior writing skills, and class that outweighs most folks.

A decent comic, i like your basic style of complimentary colours and facial designs, however the story seems lacking and cliche, at least in my humble opinion that is. The costumes are a cheap gimick, not that there is anything wrong with gimicks...so long as they aren't blatently screaming "hey mom, watch me dive". I believe the costumes actually hurt this comic in my eyes. All in all though i have no doubt that you'll have another great entry with a good direction in the future. For "the Accountants" however, you'll forgive me if i feel it is not strong enough for the top position, as many others appear to agree.

A pro comic on so many levels, but the De Niro joke bothers me? Does that make sense? Unless they can see each other's word balloons? Or is that a joke in itself? Best of luck grabbing the win! I'll put money on it.

Hey Rob, Penny checking in to see how the competition is going. You should totally be in number 1 ranking! This comic is far superior. The Accountants is by far the most original and fresh. I mean seriously, how many zombie/killing comics can be made?? Thanks for creating something for the audience that prefers the sunny side, if ya know what I mean. Your talent is out of this world! In a fluffy, dangerous world, Burt Burns and Slick Sanchez are certified public accountants. Their office resides above the Hideout Bar, and the bean counters spend much of their free time drinking and philosophizing there. But don’t let their inconspicuous appearance fool you. These CPA’s are involved in a deadly business. Burns and Sanchez are hit men. Sometimes it’s a scorned lover who wants revenge. Sometimes a business conflict needs resolved. Burns and Sanchez don’t really care about the client’s motive, but the pair steers clear of the more dangerous hits. Anything involving the mob, drugs, gambling or prostitution is off limits for these assassins. However, Burns and Sanchez are growing frustrated with the nickel-and-dime jobs. They’re ready take bigger risks and reap bigger rewards. Burns wants the fatter paychecks. Sanchez wants the fast action. Can these killer accountants keep their balance sheet out of the red?
