You are right Ziggy, This is mind blowing. Thus far this has been the most exciting month on Zuda. I also cannot understand why Streetpunx is 9th!the art is out there. I must tell you dude, this is really really awesome! i have no idea why you are still ranking 9th.i think some people say that your screens are too dark because they need to adjust the brightness of their screens!then i think they will see the genius of the one man show.even if you do not win i hope to see you around.why don't you create your own website for the comic? Dude i do hope that more people wake up and vote for you, i would really like to see you win this! good luck

i might be the only one, but i can't really see what's going on. the darks and neons contrast like crazy but i guess the overall color scheme just doesn't work for me. it's a very interesting premise with all the magic tagging and everything, and the art is REALLY nice... it's not even the colors i don't like... i dunno, just something about.... the brightness, i guess. all that having been said, this is better than 10th place in a phenomenal month of comics.

Love love LOVE the art man, frickin' amazing. Don't ever tone-down that dynamism, it's brilliant! Definately the best in the current competition, and there's some nice stuff here. I like the premise too, it's promising and I'd like to read more.
However... I really don't like the script AT ALL. It's gotta be bloody tough, particularly with such a visual story, to get your premise across in just 8 pages. But if you're serious about telling your tale as best it can be done I reckon you'd do well to collaborate with a writer, someone who appreciates your vision and brings some great writing to the table. At the moment (in my opinion of course) the script is just too prescriptive, too hackneyed... and a cool premise coupled with such mind-blowing art deserves more.

Hope you take this in the constructive spirit in which it's intended, I bothered writing such a novel because I'm a big fan of your freakin' amazing art and this promising premise.

And BTW, your stuff reminds me of Martin Emond's (RIP) work , which is a compliment I don't hand out lightly.

Good luck bro.

Such a BEEFY entry for a one man show. BRAVO.

Leon, why you are so low in the ranks is beyond me. I can only put it down to your lack of internet friends, because it sure as hell isn't your art or story that's letting you down. The application of contemporary concepts to a very epic traditional story structure is just fuggin beautiful. And even though your art suffers the "photoshops" every now and then, the line work itself is so kinetic it's inspiring.

i'll tell you what i've told freaurkind (sp?) and Ulysses, don't take this zuda rank as a commentary of your work. Cause you're definately onto something here.

MAN! Though it's nice to see someone tell a story visually more than with words, the style of the artwork makes this HARD to understand. Where are we and what are we seeing? So unclear. Too bad, cause this stuff has LOTS of movement. Potential here, for sure!
I think maybe the synopsis could be ... shortened?

I always read the synopsis first, and I still didn't really get the connection to the comic, reading the S first made the comic harder to follow for me. The art was nice but it, and the lack of words left me trying to figure out what was going on, where all the characters were at?????

If there's one thing worse than musicians saving the world with rock music it HAS to be grafitti artists doing the same with their spray cans. In my day it was called criminal damage - I distinctly remember the magistrate saying that it wasn't 'cool' and Lee saying we were just trying to make 'our mark' - I think the fine went up when he said that - hehe happy days - not!

A millennia ago mankind was enslaved, the earth a barren wasteland used its last drops of soul energy to resurrect our greatest warriors, Achilles, Raam, Zios, Samson and Cosair the horsemen of destiny. They freed humanity and vowed to protect earth for all eternity; the Punx are their latest incarnations. Azoth the demon lord who enslaved mankind is back. This time he wants the astrologers key. It is said that he who can possess the key can open the Vault of heaven and unlock the secret temples, the source of all soul energy. This could very well spell the end for all life. Each human soul is a part of an intricately woven code that makes up the key. He will have to harness the souls of every being to fulfill his dark destiny. Azoth has already begun his attack; the banished realms have all sworn allegiance to him. His armies will crush through the astral sheath that protects earth and overthrow mankind. Scrole, Lynx, Po and Dorma are all that stand in-between Azoth and mankind’s complete annihilation. Born off the earth and sworn to protect. Their uncanny abilities are limitless once honed and mastered. Despite possessing the soul powers of their predecessors, they are still human. Their soul energies react to their individual personalities. Azoth’s goals have raised the stakes higher than before. Earth’s heroes cannot defeat him alone. Man as a species must now awaken his true power and evolve or perish.
