"The Litterbox Chronicles" follows the feline adventures of Sophie and Stella, two ordinary housecats with not-so-ordinary personalities! Sophie is philosophical, reasoned, and patient. Of the two, she's the most responsible and often plays the role of "mother" to Stella. However, during those times when Stella's schemes are so grand and obviously destined for failure, Sophie has a hard time trying to talk Stella out of the situation for fear that she'll miss something highly entertaining! As you may have guessed, Stella is the spontaneous and imaginative part of the duo. She always has some new idea or scheme to help Sophie and her have some fun. However, it is rare that "fun" ever happens as a result of her grand ideas! "The Litterbox Chronicles" is written like a typical gag strip, but there will be some continuity and recurring jokes thrown in for good measure. If you like fun, imaginative humor then "The Litterbox Chronicles" is for you!

this was soooo funny I love it!
Great stuff! I especially love the idea of a cat that cleans its own litter box! Makes the whole idea of genetic engineering much more desirable.
Luv your linework and colors. Good job!
In some of the last frames their in almost the same exact pose so that had my attention for a minute. I defer, I like this comic.
Hee he!! It's like MY kitty!!
You have a fan, actually 2. My 8 year old daughter and I love it. We hope to see more!
Cute, cuddly and hilarious. I'm backing this all the way!!!
I just want to thank everyone for the kind words and support over the past month! I had a lot of fun participating in this competition! I'm not sure what the future of LBC will be at this point, but if you like this comic you'll probably like my other comic, "You'll Have That". It updates three times a week at www.yhtcomic.com.

Wow, David! Thanks so much! I really appreciate it!

Best of luck today, Wes. You've got a bunch of support from these quarters!
Here's hoping Litterbox will rally back in the home stretch! I'm selfishly hoping to see more.
Thanks, Lude!

You have a fine hand for illustration, the characters, the design, the dynamics top notch, all that was missing, was my interest...but I doubt you'll be discouraged if you don't take the top spot. I'm sure you'll have your share of success!
Keep at it!!! (as if you need me to tell ya...)
I don't usually vote. And to be honest, I was leaning towards Sam and Lilah. But since this has become a two horse race, I think Litterbox has a slight edge over its competition...
This is a comic I can see myself coming back to time and again. The artwork, the punchlines and the characters all fit and flow. Nice job, Wes - you have my vote!
Litterbox Chronicles is the best of this month's offerings, hands down. Not only are the art and story great, but the combination of both have made something else entirely: Magic.
Wes, you should be proud of yourself for doing a great webcomic!
Fan of Wes's work for about a year now. Almost as good as YHT. Keep it up!
You've got my vote, simply because this feels more solid and resolved than the competition, and I don't even really fancy dailies haha. Good luck!
it's very far side'esque. simple yet entertaining.
Break out the catnip! Back at number 1! Meowsers! My cats and I will gift you with some fuzzy mice!
Yes! And the Litterbox Chronicles bounces back! Looking forward to more.
Great work, Wes!
Woo!
Wes .. you are so a cat person. My wife just adopted a kitten from a local shelter. We've had adult cats for so long I forgot what it is like to have a spry, plotting, devious 4 legged fur ball in the house. Your comic is excellent. Best of luck in the competition!
good job on being back at number one!
Great job, Wes. Now, let's hope you can keep the lead for a few more days.
is that the same background as they had on blues clues?
YEEEESSSSSS!!!!!!!!
Wow. I can't believe it either. Very impressive showing by both the cats and cherries.
keep it up wes!
Wow, you guys! I can't believe we're still in this race! Thank you so much! There's still a week left, so anything can happen!

Congrats on taking the lead, Wes.
I hate cats. I get the worse allergy symptoms when I'm around them, but I really like this comic. Your type of humor really speaks to me. You got me with every punchline. Your art is great too. Your style is very consistent and if the progress of YHT is any indication it appears you only get better with time. I like that some of the backgrounds actually have environments instead of the generic floor with brightly colored wall. I know some of the others don't like your "light humor", but it really is impossible to please EVERYONE. As long as you get the majority vote it means your doing something right and it seems thats what you've done here. If this won it would be well deserved.
While I respect your opinion, I think I've heard the best comic vs. popularity argument a little too much.
Saying something is the "best comic" is an opinionated comment. Everyone has different criteria for judging anything, whether it be a comic, a book, a TV show, food, or anything else. These competitions are meant to be popularity contests. The most popular comic wins. The reason people like Wes and the leading comic creators are popular is because the work they create is very popular. That's why it's based on a popular vote and not a panel of judges/experts. There's nothing wrong with that. It's only fair. Who is to say what criteria is important for a comic to be the "best"? Remember, it's supposed to be entertaining, it's a comic. We are all entertained in different ways, none necessary better or more important than the other. Zuda is putting the vote in the hands of those that should be judging it, the fans. Whatever the fans vote for, that's what should be accepted.
interesting comments, I've got to say I really, really do not like the competition format at all, the best comics usually aren't the most popular comics in the printed world and the same applies on the web. All this competition is, is a popularity contest which does nothing for comics as a medium. Having said that this comic isn't the worst I've seen here, clean art and funny, good work.
This comic needs to be on cuteoverload.com
this, this is a really great strip
Great job Wes! Keep up the good work! We are huge fans! Good luck. :)
For the record: Dogs are way better than cats. But, Wes is way better than a million dogs eating a billion cat burgers!
I love this comic! Very clean and expressive art. Nice, simple, accessible humor that leads to easily-understood characters. Great work, Wes!
Aw Yeah Man!
Awesome Comic Wes!
Is it just me, or doesn't posting in a comic's forum come in to play when the marks are tallied? So... maledicta is then supporting the comic he so loathes?!
I don't get all the negative crap aimed at this comic.
This is very well done for what it is trying to do.
Eat some frigging fruit and chill if you don't like this and vote for something you like.
It still amazes me how quick the knifes come out around here.Good Job Wes...and I'm not new.
This comic is really adorably funny! And those iconic cats, man, they'll sell! Totally my vote!
...
And somehow I'm compelled to actually blog this and bring people to Zuda just to vote for this, just to **** of you all who call networking unfair.
Great work, Wes. Glad to see you bringing your A game elsewhere. Still a big fan of You'll Have That.
Maledicta - There's nothing wrong with being excited about your comic and trying to get other people excited about it as well. In fact, since every one of the competitors has the very same ability and access to these comments, the message boards and the internet at large then there really isn't anything unfair about it either.
I understand that you don't feel that way - or at least it seems you don't feel that way. But please refrain from being argumentative.
This is probably the most professional comic in this competition, if not most previous competitions as well. It's not what I'm looking for here though. However much I adore cats that adoration does not extend to cartoon cats of any sort - the two are entirely different in case anyone hadn't noticed. Real cats are cute and lovable and cartoon cats just want your money! Like I said - professional!
You know what I just noticed. Maledicta's avatar is Johnny Rotten of the Sex Pistols. The most prolific ****** of recent time. A man with so many words to say something with little substance. I believe you chose you avatar perfectly. A self-described self loather that hates everything and everyone for the sake of hate. God save the queen and Frak off mate.
Thanks for all the awesome comments, guys! I really appreciate it!
BTW, I was interviewed at ComicMix.com. We talk about my other comic strip (You'll Have That), Litterbox Chronicles, and Zuda. Go check it out: http://tinyurl.com/2dsevn

FWIW, I'm also a fan of Wes' who was brought here for this comic and a couple of others on my usual trawl. I haven't voted yet because I haven't had time to read all the choices. For the site editors: if it's any consolation, not only am I sticking around, I hope to be submitting my own work here soon.
All of you keep up the good work. Remember the 11th Forum Commandment and keep it whole-ly. It reads: "Thou shalt not feed the trolls." ;)
Good stuff, Wes. And, yes, I came because you told me about it at "You'll Have That". And I voted for you, cheater. :-)
I also bought your book, so I guess they really should just lock you up for self promotion.
