He may have a Destructo Ray that can level small cities, but that doesn’t help this evil genius deal with the mundane annoyances of everyday life. The diminutive Dr. Nimbus must wade through taxes, rent, gas prices, and even poor customer service in his quest to eventually rule the world. Along for the ride is his newly created henchman (which may or may not be a good thing).

Hey, thanks for the very thorough review! You've given me quite a bit to think about. I agree that screen 2 was probably the weakest and the pace could definitely have been quicker overall. I should have worked Lothar in sooner, because I think only a hint of his personality came across.
I've already got an idea for my next entry and while humor will definitely be involved, it won't be gag-based this time. Thanks for the kind words on my art!

Well, that was an enjoyable run! I want to thank everyone that took the time to read Evil Ain't Easy, whether you voted for it or not. It was great to get so much feedback on one of my comics all month. One of the best things about being in this competition was how many people supported this comic by creating fan art, participating in things like the Facebook group, or just spreading the word. You are all pretty awesome people.
In case you're wondering, you will see Evil Ain't Easy again. It will see print in either our Random Ink anthology (http://threetreesstudios.com/randomink/) or possibly its own book. And I will be posting the rest of the artwork I am doing for our contest winners over at evilainteasy.com.
Thanks again for all the support!
Very good story, funny and amazing! huahuahuahua!
Just posted some of the free sketches I did for winners of our Twitter and Facebook contests... It's not too late to have a chance to win!

Everyone should check out the Evil Ain't Easy/Love the Dango crossover strip by former Zuda competitor Amber Stone! She did a great job combining our characters.

This could totally be a stand-alone webcomic. I love the humor here!
Hey, thanks, guys! Darian, it's great to see you on here... glad you liked it. Farlander, that crossover image is a lot of fun. Danial... thanks again for spreading the word! SilntAngl5, thanks for the kind words and the vote.

Good luck Seth! I did a little write up for you over at Itsalltrue.net

Flows well, simple good art, funny! Reminds me of Pinky and the Brain. Modern problems. Hope you don't run out of ruling the world problems.
Hey Seth! I was very surprised to find you here. You hadn't mentioned to me that you were doing this. The strip is great -- found myself clicking for more and disappointed to reach the end. Look forward to more.
oooooooooohhhh....funny!!! Like this!
Thank you!

Tell your friends and family how happy it would make you feel to see such a funny comic win the contest this month! It's about time a humor comic won this contest! It seems like violent comics ALWAYS win at Zuda.com, but not this month, peeps! Let's help make Zuda.com a funnier place, and help Seth win this contest! Never give up! Never give up! -Daniel

This is very sophisticated fun! Congrats on a great comic!
I like =)
I'm with Daniel (pathnine) on this: Zuda needs humor, and the time is now. Good luck!
- Mike
Go Seth!
Five stars!
Great book - economical with the art but it doesn't suffer from it at all. Pathnine has a point guys, it'd be great to see more humour on the site.
Solid and fun.
@paintedredfish: Don't worry... you will definitely see the Destructo Ray again!
@ScottHarris: Thanks for the thoughtful review.
Howdy. I recently posted reviews of this month's comics on my website and thought you might be interested. The article can be found here:

New fan art from Paul McKinney is up on the blog at evilainteasy.com ! (Thanks, Paul.)
@rats808: Thanks for checking it out, Kevin!
@BlueMaxx: That's the goal! Thanks.
I like the idea of an average-Joe villain...
Makes me chuckle at all the possibilities.
Really good stuff. Kept me smiling throughout the 8 pages.
Evil Ain't Easy is a really solid comic, and it's really funny! I think it's about time that Zudites backed their s**t up and voted for a humor comic in one of the monthly comps here! I can't tell you how many times I've seen comments like, "that's a really funny comic of yours, but humor comics never win at Zuda.com." WTF! Heck, I heard it so much that I started saying it... but WTF! It's time to change that old mindset! This month is going to be different! Evil Ain't Easy is in 5th place right now, and it's on the way up to number 1! Come on folks! Let's fight for the sake of lighthearted humor :) -Daniel
Just sent you something. Hope you like.
Just posted the fan art from Steve and another one by Josh Alves at http://threetreesstudios.com/evilainteasy/ !
glad you dug it!
That's great, Steve! Your style fits the goofiness of the characters well.
Made up some fan art. check it out at steve-steiner.blogspot.com!
Thanks again for the support, people!
@paulmckinneyart: If you're offering to do some fan art, send it to me at feedback (at) threetreesstudios.com and I'll put it up on the Evil Ain't Easy blog! (That goes for anyone else, too, of course.)
It's great that so many of you are responding to this comic. For a few of you the humor may not be your cup of tea, but I appreciate that you took the time to read it and comment.
And in case you're interested... there is now an Evil Ain't Easy Facebook group at

Seth, what up man? Fantastic job as usual. You know you got my vote, yes sir...
This deserves some fanart. Humor on zuda might need to please stand up, please stand up.
Page 4 was my favorite with the interviews. What did the ad say for the job? Hahaha... best of luck this month.
Very clever. Love it.
The landlady may not like this, but I love it!
Good luck!
Funny stuff, kickass guys.
Love the artwork! I'll make sure to keep an eye on this
Nice job Seth! I really liked the first 4 pages. The last 4 pages I didn't feel were as strong in terms of the writing, but I'd still read more.
