What is Ember Zeram, beloved Space Princess of the Palmyrene Galaxy, doing associating with criminals and buying arms from the black market? Why can’t she make her mother, Space Queen Zenobia, happy and marry a nice space prince? Could it be she has taken on some secret mission that threatens to unravel the calm of the entire Intergalactic Empire? Who could she enlist in such a quest? Who will stand in her way? And why don’t they make space suits like they used to?
Rogue Royal is a comedic sci-fi action comic with mild sexiness and frequent graphic alien dismemberment.

Even with the eight page limit, it's still able to keep me interested from start to finish. It's a shame it hasn't won any competition, but regardless I hope that you have the time or opportunity to further develop it. Stay well, and best of luck to you.
Getting on Zuda again is definitely a good idea for you, Chris -- I had a fearful eye on your pageviews in the final two weeks. You had a great comic, and were obviously getting the hang of the marketing aspect -- I have no doubt you could claim the top spot next go-round.

Hey everybody, Absolute Magnitude won! Good job guys and lady! Meanwhile, I will try not to let this fancy new "PRO" emblem I got go to my head! Too late, I am now convinced I am a god. Probably of love. Or the hearth.
Anyone who wants to continue to follow my comics action should check out my website ninetimesnine.com which will begin regular updates in September.
Rogue Royal will continue eventually. Also, I may consider submitting to a later Zuda competition. Thanks for all the fun comments! Hey! Maybe YOU should start making comics!
@claytastic1: Wow, I've never got a compliment on my content before. That's kind of personal. Thanks!
@kalstrai: :D
@dunali: Thanks Bryan. You are a true friend.
@comicreader: Thanks! See above.
Sorry you didnt win try and keep it going.
i liked your story. it was fun. if you have the ambition you should keep the story going.
-Helps push Rogue Royal to the finish line-
Let's help Chris finish strong guys! Everyone make sure you added this as your favorite and rate 5 stars!! The first and second place comics are nowhere near the level of awesome that Rogue Royal is. 5 artists against 1?? I'll grab a colored pencil and help you kick some butt!! :)
Good fun :) Great job!
This is super great! I'm glad this comic is gaining notoriety quickly and consistently. Great stuff. Your drawing technique is top-notch for the story-line and the content is quite amusing. Good luck with your future endeavors. Here's to a productive and successful career.
@fanboy d: Man, I don't know. Maybe I should've given the hideons bigger boobs.
@NeutronCrush & SamLittle: Yeah I put on my nekode, which give me a +5% to my climb skill, plus I think my Mom finally voted for me.
@Kidgloves: Welcome to the fun my friend! Watch out for flying alien chunks.
Took me a bit to come around, but once I did, it was a fun ride.
This comic is exactly what it should be and doesn't pretend to be anything but fun.
A royally rogue review: http://tinyurl.com/qn34jo
Onward and upward! Higher, baby, higher!
Oh snap! Up to third place!
WHY ISN'T THIS WINNING ALREADY?!
***** <3
@Gnar Duce: Haha, yeah, Power Girl needs to start doing some serious bust ogling busting in my opinion.
@maxwellchris: Don't be sad! I will continue Rogue Royal if it doesn't win, but not at the same pace I would if a gigantic corporation were paying all my bills to do so.
@frequentcontributor: Hey thanks! I'm so glad someone shares my enthusiasm for exclamation points!!
PS: I don't know how you submit, but if you don't win here on Zuda, this would fit really well over at MySpace Dark Horse Presents (with a format change to fit a regular comic size... which would take some work to shift all the panels around...)
This is quite possibly the most joyous reading experience I've had in quite some time. Every little detail, from the beautiful art to the hilarious (and laugh-out-loud) story and dialogue, the pitch-perfect characters that felt alive and a bit like old friends, and even the FONT was a perfect fit! This comic is the BEST!!!! I definitely want to see more!
Absolutely love this strip. I am freakin' depressed that this is not in first place right now. Any plans on continuing it somewhere else if it doesn't make the cut? I would follow this in print, or any place else you can put it. Very, very cool. 1 Vote from me.
Love the Last Panel! (and the Busted Bust Ogle,...good one! that was long overdue in comix!)
@Aaauuugh: Thanks, mister zombie dude.
@Vetya: Yay! Thank you!
@BTimony: Thanks man. I may have mentioned earlier how awesome Night Owls is, but let me say so again.
@PapiChulo: We both have an appreciation for fun sound effects! Thanks for being cool.
@BlueMaxx: Yeah I hid a lot of friendliness in the art. Look really closely at the severed arm on page 4: it's actually a hug!
@big_finch, little_finch: Hey, are you two related? 'Cause you have the same awesome taste in comics!! *rimshot*
@mecrocke: Awesome! But why does no one ever mention all the naked aliens?
@EliNavarro: Hey thanks!
Hi Chris. Awesome job and very professional. My vote for you. Good luck..!
i was really turned on by the almost naked girl...YES!!!
Hooray for googly-eyed aliens! Refreshingly clever and really, really funny. Definitely has my vote!
Not my usual cup of tea but oh so clever, whimsical, entertaining. I'd read more plus anything else from this talented artist and story teller. Good luck!
The art gave it this friendly vibe, and that was refreshing. I liked the quirk humor.
I like this comic, especially the sound effects. OM NOM NOM being my favorite. That sound effect plays nicely in my head. I've checked out your website (ninetimesnine.com) and your other comics and drawings are great! They show a really wide range of ability and styles. I say that knowing nothing other than what I like. Good show and great work!
This comic really grows on you and holds up well to repeat viewings. Great job!
Entertaining!!!
Great comic... I want to see what happens next.
@Foz: So... scrotal-copters make you giggle, eh? Obviously no one has explained to you the seriousness of such things. Thanks, Foz! Everyone go read Deadly!
@SamLittle: Yay! The Hammer is awesome!
@NeutronCrush: Haha, thanks. That Hideon baby had a short but illustrious career.
@hairballOne: Thanks! The big ol' is my favorite kind of smile, and it looks good on you.
Just great! Put a big ol' smile on my face. I would love to read more. Good luck!
This is great! Page 7 is hysterical!
This pleases me immensely. You have my vote.
My Review: http://silianrailroad.blogspot.com/
Very cute and funny. I dig it. I saw some pretty suggestive things in there that made me giggle, the scrotal-copters for one...Great entry. Good luck in the comp!
@Bryy_Miller: Thanks for the advice, I will look into those things. Can you loan me some money? XD
@Sal Field: Yay! Thanks for getting it. You rock, and If You See The Hills is just so wonderful.
@quasilucid: Thanks! Keep rocking that Dual action.
@iggynore: Can't I just like, party my way into first place? I'm so bad at fighting. Thanks for the encouragement!
@MartinOne: Thanks! I like that you are fun and light. We should hang out.
I like this, very fun and light. Like me!
This is great!! I haven't read much of the other competitors but I can assure you, I'd love to see where your comic goes! You gotta fight!! :)
nice style, clever action. best of luck!
That final panel is incredibly funny. Great criticism of female images in comics...
*nudge*
You should probably buy adspace on YuGiOh The Abridged Series.
And maybe Project Wonderful.
@mmorazzo: Thanks! Good luck this month.
@PollySigh: Oh man finally someone appreciates the grossness! Thanks, Pollysigh!
@Marysovery: Princess Zeram has too much on her mind to announce which team she's playing for right now! Stop pressuring her! (Man I'm really excited I got the lesbian space princess vote!)
@James Clayton: Cheesecake and feminism have always had an interesting relationship haven't they?
@airflowzero: Thanks! I would totally take your money.
I really love this, and if it was released its the only one of the top 3 that Id regularly buy.
Does this do anything to advance feminism in comics? I'm not sure, but it's a cracking webcomic that's a whole lot of fun. Plus it's unique and as, everyone has said, doesn't take itself to seriously. Top stuff and good luck in the competition!
I must commend you on your idiot sense of humour and your ability to draw it so well. Being a space princess myself, I can relate to the difficulties of sub-legal undertakings, I vastly appreciate the story line and particularly the degradable uniform. I speak from experience, your princess might be a dyke! I would really like to see that and I wager 95 percent of the heterosexual male population as well.
Love this comic. It was fun, with great artwork, and it was a little gross - nice combination.
Love it! Has a lot of rythm! Great work!
@cletus: Eclectic? That's awesome! Thanks, cletus!
@Dwight L. Macpherson: Thanks so much! I can't wait to see what Sidewise has in store for us.
@localsuperstar: Thanks for all the love, my friend.
@Fufu: Thanks Fufu! Have you thought of working for DC Comics? Like, in the Zuda department? You have 'til the end of August.
