(rh-x)- For future plans, at this time we are uncertain on who/what company may publish us, but we are going to continue our story in a mini series fashion with plans to move forward from there. Again, thanks to all for the kind words.

Actually... Although the concept SEEMS cheesy, upon reading the strip, it's really not. You've done well in putting the "twist" on a tried and true theme, and actually executed it very well. The art is excellent, as well.

I really like both story and art, though the concept reminds me a bit of an old british tv-show called "Supergran"...in a different way. Plans for the future?

Look, the idea here is totally lame (I'm assuming that's the point). But the execution is so well done that you manage to make it interesting. You're pushing tongue in cheek to the extreme.

I really don't see why this comic isn't further up the ranks.

Man, that initial thumbnail really tricks a guy, because it doesn´t let see the great artwork you got there. The use of the light, the balance between the B&W areas, and the characters per se, are really great. I got no advice to give cause it's just plain cool. Good luck with it, i hope to read more in the near future...

I second that this works much better WITHOUT color. The contrasts on the splash page and the faraway shot of the robot exploding are perfect. The use of little details and bold silhouettes really stand out from most comics that are over-drawn.

Congrats!

I don't actually think colour would suit this strip. I like the starkness and considering it's a comic someone from the 'grey' demographic of society, monotone makes sense and is appropriate I'd reckon. As others have said, it shows that the inks really stand up.

Thanks for the kind words and critiques, everyone. My name's not on these 8 pages, but I've got a long history with Don and Vigilante Granny, and if we get the opportunity to do more stories with her I'll be taking over the writing duties.

If Superheroes think it’s hard trying to hide their secret identities from the public, just imagine what 78-year-old Faye Justis goes through trying to explain all of her bruises and tattered clothing to her family. When old age forced Faye to hang up her revealing spandex super heroine costume, she assumed that some younger; more in-shape do-gooder would take over as the protector of the city. So far, no one new has risen to the challenge, so Faye still finds herself regularly battling the forces of evil (though her scantily costume remains in a box in her closet).
Our story revolves around Faye as she tries to fit in with her elderly friends and be a part of her son and grandson’s lives, though a slew of various villains constantly make it difficult for her to simply live a quiet life. Our story revolves around a string of kidnappings, which have been occurring throughout the city Faye inhabits and sometimes begrudgingly protects. The kidnappings had been flying well below Faye’s radar, what with bigger crises like massive, murderous robots and horrifying mutant creatures keeping her busy.
However, when her grandson Ronnie is taken captive, Faye is on the case. Not to be confused with the most patient individual on the planet, Faye fumbles her way through the investigative process, attempting to locate her missing loved one, all the while keeping up an ignorant façade to fool her son and his wife into thinking that she knows nothing about the case.
