BLOODY PULP is the story of John “Pulp” Polpowski, a nightmare for hire who leads a dangerous double life -- secretly moving the men and women he’s been paid to kill to a remote safe house far from the syndicate controlled streets of 1930’s Kansas City. Each new resident brought to the house is expected to pull their weight and earn their keep, working side by side with people who know nothing of their past, nothing about who they were in the “real world”. For some residents the ramshackle house is a prison, for others a final chance at redemption. This is the house that Pulp built and the house rules are simple: NO ONE LEAVES. Ever. But nothing is simple about the arrival of Eustace Parks; a Negro bandleader entangled in mob debt. His presence will cause lines to be drawn, passions to ignite and horrible acts to be carried out, leading to an epic standoff that will measure just how far Pulp is willing to go to bring order to his house.

Actually, BLOODY PULP #1 will be making its debut at the Pittsburgh Comic Con Sept 11-13th and, afterward, will be available for order via TwoFistedPress.com
You fought the good fight, good sirs. So, we is Bloody Pulp hitting printers?
Anyone who may be interested in purchasing the sculpture of eustace parks that is posted at twofistedpress.com, i will be making a limited number of individually painted pours. This sculpture stands approx. 5 inches in height and sits on a 4 inch x 4 inch base. I am also working on some new sculptures so keep an eye out!

thanx!
Hey guys -- just wanted to pop in and say you fought the good fight. You got my vote in the end. Sorry it didn't go your way. Hope to see Bloody Pulp continue elsewhere and hopefully you guys'll be back on Zuda with something new in the future. Fight on!
best lookin' comic in the competition hands down.
Jason Copland is right, ****balls sums it up. I don't like dissing the work of other creators but this is so far ahead of Rockstar that it's not worth comparing. Please continue this story in spite of the morons who didn't vote for you.
***** balls. That's all I can say about the outcome of this.
Hey Guys amazing job here, sorry you guys don't win, my best wishes for Bloody pulp, and you for this amazing work and incredible promotion.
in my eyes all of the entries are winners because they all made it into the competition and still placed...im working on some stuff of my own (that may be put up here sooner or later) and the creative process alone for everyone deserves props...i think its an enormous feat once all the work transforms into the finished result...so i just think everyone who competed deserves a well deserved congratulations! towards the end things got a little hairy there but all in all i have a lot of respect for ALL of the competitors...it takes a lot of time, hard work, and dedication to make it this far...so congrats to ROCKSTAR! congrats to BLOODY PULP! and congrats to all of the other entries! i would also like to wish everyone good luck for the future and i will be hangin around to see where PULP goes!
Bad luck fellas. You've got a sickarse comic. I loved it. All the best, guys. I'm looking forward to checking out what you come up with next!
Congrats on second place, and goddamn did you guys fight hard on this one. I was a RockStar supporter but this was definitely a close second, and I think now that you've got a CLEAR fanbase to work with you've probably got a good shot at remaking this into what it could be without Zuda's limitations. Best of luck in future endeavors!
And sorry your fans tended to be wildly immature and douchey, you guys deserve better.
I'm sorry you didn't win, but very happy I got the chance to read this comic, and vote for it.
Hey, guys! Thank you for ALL the support and congrats to Rockstar.
Posted up some of our immediate thoughts and plans over at the site: www.twofistedpress.com
Later, Zudists! :)
You guys put up a good fight, and I hope it's not for nothing now! I would love to see Bloody Pulp continued, I was pretty intrigued!!
hey all i know is that finishing second isn't always so bad. most of american idol's big sellers weren't even the winners. and the pittsburgh penguins two years ago to the red wings, only to come out on top this year - you guys did great and finishing second will never take away the huge talents that both of you have. PLUS a losing experience is never wasted as long as you take something from it and apply it towards your future. A future that I'm sure will be real bright.
Bloody Pulp will ride again, I can assure you. More eloquent thanks coming but for now I Just want to thank EVERYBODY that participated this month and Congratulations are in order for Alusio.
Hey there, Jeff and Jorge!
I thank you for this thrilling month, having followed Zuda ever since Supertron won, I never thought the competition could be THIS tough, and stressing as well. You guys were a formidable opponent and I thank you too for making this an unforgettable experience I'll take for my whole life, that's for sure!
I really want to see more of Bloody Pulp, as someone said earlier, that's a book I would buy with no doubt!
I hope you try another stab at Zuda, I'm sure you guys can seize the win!
Best wishes, guys!
I voted for the latter, but I wanted to say good try and that I hope you try again in the future!! You guys have been extreamely professional and I respect that a lot.
Sorry, guys. I know how tough it is to finish in that 2nd spot.
Hopefully, Bloody Pulp fairs better in it's post-Zuda life than Vic Boone has to this point.
Good luck and let me know when this gets it's second life--I'll be there.
tough luck, guys :( Will the story continue?
Good luck, I hope you guys can make it.
Frankly I am surprized by how close this is, your premice and artwork are far superior to anything else on here. Good luck.
I voted and liked Rockstar more but I wanted to say I liked your alot to. Nice art and story. Hope you keep the comic going no matter the final outcome which I'm sure you are since you've mentioned it a few times. You guys and Zsabreuser have been doing a hell of a job promoting your comics.
Still time for you guys to pull this off. I don't know if I have many resources/tricks left, but I'll try to muster up some more votes.
Also wanted to point out that sometime yesterday Bloody Pulp went from 4 and a half star rating to a solid five star rating!! Thanks guys.
I understand bloody pulp. Especially after the taco bell.
seriously good.
Voted thumbs up! Thank your boys over at neeenerneener.net!
Hey Gang, just to add to "what the heck happened with the page views" discussion, we also posted a link on Reddit.com and Digg.com. Both are similar to Stumble upon and the Reddit link got a fair amount of traffic from what I can see as far comments go.
@Perruzo; Again Anthony, Thanks for the support. Jorge and I don't take such things lightly.
well, since Assignment isn't really going anywhere (here on Zuda anyway) I've slipped a vote for Bloody Pulp. Hope it helps put you guys over the top. Good Luck.
good stuff, got my vote!
Badass comic man. Teddy made sure I had to do this.
*yawn* Good morning Pulpists how was your... What the FUDGE!?! Still #2? I guess it's the sprint to the finish line this morning, eh?
Guys,
I was sent here by Stephen Lindsay and I have to say I'm glad I came. You are head and shoulders above the competition. Even if the unthinkable happens and you come second will you please finish what looks to be an exceptional story?
I did try to drum up votes earlier in the month too, but I'm afraid my site only gets a couple of visits a year, got all my fingers crossed it makes it back to the top spot though.
If this site StumbleUpon is part of this then I will be the first to claim ignorance towards any claims that I might have made towards the competition. Regardless of the previous days events I still believe Bloody Pulp is a better project and belongs in the winners circle.
one of the carter boys(nick) loves this comic!
If what Glory said is true, StumbleUpon certainly explains the HUGE surge in views. Hosted at StumbleUpon.Com, SU has over 8 million registered users, so if this is part of the queue, that would explain a LOT. For those of you who don't know, StumbleUpon allows its users to discover and rate Web pages, photos, and videos. It is a personalized recommendation engine which uses peer and social-networking principles. Web pages are presented when the user clicks the "Stumble!" button on the browser's toolbar. It is something that I discuss at length on the WAYS TO PROMOTE YOUR COMIC (AND YOURSELF) thread on the Zuda message board: http://tinyurl.com/lfbqsg
Also, let's not forget how much Twitter can play a factor in this comic's numbers - the fanbase there is *extremely* supportive and vocal about this comic.
If you are wondering why this comic has such a HUGE surge in views, it's because last night, after I switched my vote, I registered this comic for StumbleUpon! :-)
Now, I didn't vote for bloody pulp, but I'm not going to hop on the immature bandwagon and claim it to be a turd sandwich and cry out foul when the comic I voted for falls behind the comic that "needs to be flushed".
In fact, visually it's one of the better entries I've seen so far, but the color scheme reminds me of every "Realistic" video game out there which kinda kills it for me.
Now the story wasn't that great for me, I do like the idea so far when some guy who's getting beaten has mercy taken upon him by the guy beating him and takes him to his home. But to me this whole thing happens too quickly to really sink into, get lost, and want to know more about this story. If you were to stretch out the beginning part and develop the characters a bit more without showing that he was taken to that home until later, this would be great!
I thought this was a good comic though, the story needs some work however.
I can't wait to see what happens in future issues. The Story, colors, and pencils are just stunning. Hope you guys come out on top here.
Kick ass I sent me
Love it get bloody, Mike D sent me
Got my vote! Good luck.
for the record i think i may have been the first to mention the word cheating but by no means was accusing anyone of it...so please remember that honesty usually does prevail...i agree with william...lets just worry about keeping an honest game here and continue to get our friends and family to sign up and vote...jeff and jorge have gotten this far the right way...lets keep it that way...and instead of all the trash talk (yes i admit i said a little nasty this or that) lets talk about what we love about this little masterpiece here! like jorge said earlier "stay positive"! so rally the troops...lets do our damnedest to get these guys in the (well deserved might i add) winners circle! also their work here speaks for itself so all we have to do is point people in the right direction!
I'll give kudos to Bloody Pulp first, that while it's not what I threw my weight behind, it certainly is a worthwhile competitor and a product of a lot of effort. But frankly the mad dash for page views really cheapens the experience. First, you make accusations of cheating and then all of a sudden the page views sprints up in a way that is unbelievable as the favorites remains the same. Please don't cheapen the experience, instead of throwing dirt, do as the creators have urged and get good votes if you really do care about this work or any of the other Zuda competitors.

pay attention to the clock and the page views everyone :D so no more finger pointing.
I'm glad to see the creators of the comic are being professional and mature about this unlike some of the people commenting. Bloody Pulp just got 20,000 views in the past 2 hours so please stop pointing fingers at anyone guys. Both comics obviously have some friends and fans rooting for them.
Thanks Bigbrain, I think we've come back from worse deficits, can we do it again in twelve hours? We shall see:)
I agree that there should be high fives to all the folks who flew the flag for Bloody Pulp. Jorge and I have never had support and praise like this for any of our other projects, but in a month on Zuda we've accumulated a small army of true believers. I'll say it again(for the record) you guys are awesome.
so i just noticed that some of the older posts with cuss words were reposted **** out...which is fine...gotta keep it clean for "code" dont ya know!?! but i guess i feel better that someone is watching...still sucks that the turd of a comic wont get flushed...but we all know who is the real winner here! to jorge and jeff...i would definitely like to see you guys continue this comic cause frankly it sells itself! it really is a wonderful piece of work! even if pulp doesnt win THIS competition you should still release it on your own! im all for the underdogs anyway! great job and keep it coming! and good job to everyone who mustered together every potential voter possible! high fives for everybody!
