Sidewise
Sidewise is © Dwight L. MacPherson and Igor Noronha
Teen genius Adam Graham borrows his parents' time device to visit 1902 London, only to find himself in an alternate dystopian past. As a member of Nikola Tesla's band of young freedom fighters known as SteampunX, Adam must wage a war against a myriad of deadly steam-powered robots, mad scientists and a nefarious state police controlled by Queen Victoria's preserved brain to free the oppressed nation, crown a new monarch and return to his world in time for a final exam.

My interview with the Johnson City Press went live today. Please check out my blog for a link to the story. There's even a short video with me ranting about following submissions guidelines. XD

Oh, snap! I didn't notice that, Ryan. Thanks so much for including us! :)
This month's competitor Sci-Fi Drive-by makes some bold predictions about the near future. Including (if you look at the bookcart behind the alien in the Library scene) a print edition of Sidewise!
Hey, Raustin, thanks for reading and commenting. Yes, it appears Tesla and Adam may be reaching some form of agreement. Or not. Keep reading! :)

Thanks for the comment, my friend! Yes, I think you'll see some pretty interesting developments in the near future. Thank you for reading. :)
We don't often get to see a lovelorn brain. Lays the groundwork for a unique relationship and story.
You just made my day, Chris! Thank you so much for reading and leaving such a wonderful comment. :)
By far the best thing on zuda right now. Hope this goes on forever.
Hey, Michael! Thanks for reading and commenting! Yes, we're setting up quite a series of interesting events.
Great couple of pages here, Dwight and Igor. I feel like all the pieces are falling into place, and some crazy stuff's about to ensue.
Welcome, Lords and Ladies! I also posted the newest commentary for page 24 on my blog, too:

Bagelman: Indeed it does! Perhaps we could use it to refer to politicians and televangelists? :P
I think the term "supercilious thaumaturge" needs to be used a LOT more in daily life.
Thanks for reading and commenting, Raustin! Yes, it was a stroke of genius. :)
Brilliant! Love the "doom!" effect. :)
Welcome to the weekly update! :)
You can also find commentary for Pages 1-23 on my blog: http://dwightmacpherson.wordpress.com/
Please take a few minutes to check it out.
It did! And it was totally Igor's idea. :D
haha... did "Doom!" just get used as a sound effect? That's spectacular!!!
Thanks for reading and commenting, AluĂsio! We're glad you're enjoying the art. :)
Looking super sweet!
I really like those smokes with red lienart, very good looking. Also, i can see igor is really upping the nothc on art, specially on these recent pages! The brain is kickass!
Thanks for reading and commenting, James! And I agree: Igor nailed it. There's more to the Minister than meets the eye. ;)
Moriarty's flaming eyes: brilliant!
Thanks for reading and commenting, my friend! We're glad you're still with us. :)
Nice to see the ageless evil-science vs evil-magic debate rages on. I like the dissipating smoke in the third panel.
Thanks for reading and commenting, Raustin! We're glad you're enjoying the story. :)
This story just gets better with each page! Good work guys!
Thanks for reading and commenting, Bruce! We appreciate ya! A Sidewise pocketwatch, eh? I'll have to check with Weta Workshop about that. :D
Been really enjoying Sidewise!! I just want a Sidewise pocket watch! That would rock!
df2506: Hey, thanks for reading and commenting! I'm glad you dig it. :)
Really fun comic!
drc: Of course! I AM Scottish, after all. :)
I should have guessed you'd weave a scottish thread into the story!
Hey, Bruce! Thanks for reading and commenting. I'm glad you're enjoying it!
Just caught up to date on Sidewise! WOW!! Great stuff!
Hey, everyone!
Thank you all for your comments.
Be sure that Sidewise will only get better from here on, so be sure to check it out every Thursday for a new page ;)
quasilucid: Thanks for reading and commenting, my friend! I'm glad you're enjoying the story. Look for a lot more surprises as the story continues to develop. :)
Cool to see the world continue to open up as we are introduced to more locations and characters. I like seeing men in top hats using bows and arrows to hunt food.
James: Thanks for reading and commenting! Yes, I loves me some "BWHOOOOOMS." :D
ptimony: Hey, I'll go, too. We'll go on a roast boar binge. XD
I will move to Scotland if I find out that roast boar really falls from the sky.
"Bwooooooooooooom!"
One of the greatest sound-effect words in comics. Kudos for another exciting page and I like the purple-toned silhouetted Scots!
Hey, Adam! Yeah, Igor nailed it. :)
Page 18 is NICE!
drc: HAHAHAHA! No, not quite. Keep reading, my friend. You'll see. :)
