Love Morely and his mentor Walter Grim are two of the few individuals who have access to the other side. Like those before them, with access to this realm they attempt to discover its nature and effect on their world. On one such trip Love encounters what they refer to as an Echo: a person whose form is native to the other side but their mind is that of a "regular" person. Unlike the other Echoes he has met, Love has no idea how important Annabell will be. Especially as they come to realize that this new realm is being changed and it is someone from the human side that is changing it. It ultimately comes down to the Love Morely, Walter Grim and Annabell. They will have to confront this agent of change and help restore the natural order. Or will they choose to break it completely?

love ur use of colors, and that u actually were confident enough to have 3 full pages of no dialogue makes me like all the more
Wo,this is the first time I have read this comic and it is very well constructed on so many levels!VERY PROFESSIONAL!
I read the first few pages and I have to say the quality for this comic is very high. The art is great especially when Love crosses to the other side. One word great!!!
Thanks I am glad ya liked it :D
Fantastic coloring! Dig the style as usual.
Saul- Thanks man, I am not going anywhere and will be back for more (provided I get in again :) ) Well hopefully the next one wont disappoint :D
-----
Oyst- Thanks man you too :)
-----
Stroker- I think the next one is even better than sides and once I finish the synopsis and high concept we will see if the Zuda editors think so too (or at least good enough to get in the comp) :D
hey bud...nice fight...i'm sure we havent seen the last of you just yet..cant wait to see whats next
Hey Alex congrats on a great comic this month. I hope to see you enter again soon man! You've got killer skills.
This, like your other entries was just top notch and had a really fresh style. I loved this one, as I loved your last one. Best of luck in the future and I hope to see another of yours here. I'm sure it will have my vote.
I'd like to discuss a project with you. If interested, shoot me an e-mail (it's on my profile).
Uhhhhhmmmmmm I don't think so. I could well have had it enter a spam folder without my knowledge but otherwise I am not sure if I have gotten anything from you :( :)
Alex, I forget. Have I ever e-mailed you?
Andr- Thanks man I am glad I got your vote and that the story and art did it for ya :)
--
Zeph- Thanks, I am glad ya like it. Those spikes are always a good way of accentuating movement in a specific way. Sheldon uses it, Corey Lewis too and when it is used properly it can really add an edge to the action. So I am glad to hear I didn't **** up the use of it especially with those guys around using it so well. I am also glad the lack of speaking, your right Love isn't the type to be using one liners especially when he is surprised by an opponent that remains on him from the beginning of the fight to the end.
Foz- Wow thanks man that is a hell of a compliment :D
--
Athering- Thanks I am glad ya liked it.
--
Marley- Thanks, I hope I win too :)
--
Mpd- Thanks for the review hombre :D
Gpz- I can see what you mean but I had hoped that by the end it would give you a clear direction to how the story is being told, who the characters are and the style and some of the mechanics of how they can and do deal with the alternate realm. I hoped this would create a good intro to the overall story but if it moved a bit slow for you then I can understand that :)
---
Daren- Thanks for the plug man, I would have done the same...but I wasn't interviewed by them :( :)
Math- Thanks man I appreciate the vote :)
Zeph- Thanks, I think it would be pretty cool too. Soulreaver did the switching sides idea really well and I think it could make for a cool game if it was expanded on it to suit the non afterlife idea in sides would be fun :D
Ryan- Thanks I was stoked about it too....not as stoked as if it were first, but hey I am not complaining.
Andre- Thanks man though it seems like slim chances at this point I hope a Christmas miracle will happen :D
Dude! This made me go and read your previous submissions. You have some serious chops, both in writing and art. Beautiful work dude.
Well done, interesting storyline
Best of luck man! I hope you win!

Finally and after reading the other entries this month, my vote is here, cool artwork, I like the backgrounds, cool story, and interesting pallete on the "phantom zone".
The initial screens automatically give you a sense of what time period you're in through the colouring and the stylization, which is awesome.
The way you do the movement is awesome, I always like having those little spikes when things move (Sheldon Vella uses them too, and he came ahead from being second all month).
The crossover from one world to the other is really well done. Where you go from right to left to right works even though it's not conventional, which gets kudos.
I think it's good that action can just be action sometimes, especially in this case, because it's his job, he's not fooling around, he's getting down to business. That shows his character as much as having him say witty remarks during the whole event would show a different character.
Lastly, I think the way the characters interact is very cool, the way the woman is blathering on about nothing to hide being scared, and how the main character has experienced this before and knows exactly how to deal with her.
This story is extremely interesting, and your dialogue is
superb. You are a very good writer, and your art is excellent as well. My only complaint is that I knew as much about the story towards the end as the beginning, well by the third page anyway. Either way, great work and I hope you win.
Hey again! Just wanted you to know I plugged your comic in my interview at OriginalWonders.com. And, again, you'd have my vote this month if I weren't competing! =)
Awesome stuff. I wasn't sure about who to vote for, but I chose you, mate. xD
Keep it up, you rock. :D
If this doesn't get picked up as a comic, it would make a great video game.
Congrats on taking 2nd!! This month is wicked!
All right you are up to number two! I really hope you win the spot Alex - this comic totally deserves it!
I love the coloring on this. It really makes the whole story instantly recognizable and different.
Crash- Well I am glad ya came out of hiding... and to vote for me as well :) Indeed a large part of the site is marketing and advertising (I mean where is it not) but the point has to be made that if your comic isn't good to begin with your not gonna be able to market into gold :) and I hope your vote helps swing it for me too :D
-----
Andrew- Thanks I am glad the comic held your attention while you had it on it. I gotta say that flowing wells, if I wasn't in the same month as it, would totally have got my vote. Best of luck to you too :)
----
Red- Thanks I am glad it tickled the fancy bone :D
----
Freq- I have been trying to find the right balance of, punctuated formal writing and the classic Shakespearian dialogue/ speech doesn't conform to grammar/ punctuation. It is definitely something that I have to work out to keep the balance. Thanks for the input and I am glad the look of it worked for ya.
I'm came out of lurking to vote for Sides, ALex. I hope my one vote will swing things for you..... I'm relatively new to this site but based on the disparity in the number of views between the first comic and the rest I'm gathering it's all about who can advertise the best.... Anyway, good luck with it.
Alex, sweet job of carrying this off so well. On first impression I might not have thought so, and in fact, I surfed away a couple of times after seeing only the first couple of screens, but after giving it my full attention I really enjoyed it. Best of luck!
i am really digging this comic. i love the art!
The concept here is very original, and the art is incredible, especially the coloring/FX. One problem was the lack of proper punctuation in a few places that made reading flow confusing. Otherwise, while this strip was all in all pretty cool, I did feel like all that flashy action in the middle got a bit long (3 pages...), and no real cliffhanger to speak of (or actual PLOT, as of yet...) leaves me feeling that I would like reading more, but wouldn't really care if I never saw the comic again, either.
Thanks :D
This art is rad.
King- Thansk I hope I win too :) But hopefully even if I don't the next one will tickle your fancy just as much and get your vote then too :)
------------------
Meg- Well I promise that if ever you and your sister (my girlfriend) have a comic on Zuda I will give you as much of a chance to drag me in too :D Thanks for the vote I really appreciate it :)
Alex, you and your girlfriend ( my sister) sucked me in, I voted for you.
I'm hoping you pull off a win this month. While I didn't really like your previous entries, I had to admit they were well done, just not my cup of tea. This entry surpasses them by far in terms of art and writing. As far as a critique, I think occasionally you have a facial expression that's slightly off, and some of your dialogue could use an extra pass to make it less stiff. These are really small criticisms though because these are things you'd definitely improved on since your last entries. 90% of the time it looks perfect. The jump in the overall quality of art from S. Type to now is crazy. I can really tell you are finding a style you're comfortable with. And for the people who's zuda scripts I've been editing with fight scenes in them: This is how you do a fight scene. You know who you are. This is 3.5 pages and it tells its own story. Seriously Great job this month!
Blue- Again as many others who have expressed difficulty on choosing who they are voting for I can absolutely help you with this problem :)
--------------
Aven- Excellent I am happy to have you on board and thanks, I am glad the story caught you enough to get you past your aversion to the colours :)
--------------
Quas- Thansk I am glad it tickled the fancy bone :)
--------------
Rogue- Thanks I need it :( :)
--------------
Blaq- Hey I am glad it did it for you. I don't have a blog currently I am redoing the ol website so that it includes a blog on the front page. But you can see stuff at www.stplmstr.deviantart.com until then :)
---------------
Slid- Thanks for the poster it looks great.
---------------
Ryan- Well apparently they arn't doing enough to get the Korean populace out to vote for me....your in korea eh.....do....you like starcraft?
Max- Thanks mang I am rooting for me too :)
---------------
Gro- Hard time with the transitions how in particular. Panel to panel, one realm to the other ect. ?
---------------
Rk- Thanks for the review it is too bad the coulours put you if from the start and created a barrier to entry for you :(
---------------
Zero- Thanks I am glad ya like the scribbling, I could use the luck :)
---------------
Dav- I can't wait for it either...cause it would mean a glorious thing had happened hahaha
---------------
Gile- Well thanks Giles I am glad this comic did it for you and that you like it more than the top 2 :)
Gun- Thanks gun, I wanted the fight scene to be quick and surprising. I can understand the feeling that I could have moved the comic along if I had reduced the fight scene but I want Sides to have a fight element very much a part of the future story so I wanted to make sure the reader got that idea. Show them that part of my story at the same time as giving them plot. Maybe the levels were off but thats the reason I did it that way.
--------------
Elio- Thanks I am glas ya liked it.
--------------
Nik- Well if this were to continue there would be more monsters so hopefully you would like them as much :) Thanks for the comment.
--------------
Pet- Thanks I am glad it hit the spot.
--------------
Jorge- Well I ended it with the hope that it would leave the reader wanting more but that can also be a bit frustrating so I can empathize with not liking it :)
Andre- Thanks man I really appreciate your voting. And I am hella glad ya enjoyed the comic, and colour pallet :D
-------------
Afonse- Thanks it seems the colour misses with some people but I am glad there are people who really like it as well :D
-------------
Alba- Well I hope I ended up with the vote but I am glad ya liked it and that the grammar didn't spoil it for you :)
Don- Well thanks I am glad ya liked it. The texting has been something I have heard a few people comment on so it is definitely something I will have to take into consideration.
-------------
Andre- Well I hope to have your vote by the end but I do appreciate the insta fav :)
-------------
James- Thanks I am glad ya liked it.
-------------
Pedes- ha well I would hope to have the winning be a "when" rather than if, but yes there would absolutely be a lot more real world in the comic if it continues. Thanks for the vote :D
The dancing duckling from your avatar gets projected in lasers several stories tall every night in the water/lights show in the park by my house in Korea. Every time I see it, I get the feeling that it's viral marketing for your comic!
Giving some love to Love in my Zuda May Crossover poster http://slidestudios.deviantart.com/art/Zuda-May-09-Crossover-122089727
Wow, I think you've done a REALLY great job here. An interesting "world", great layout, and a set up that leaves me wanting to see page 9. Great Job. Dud, have you got a blog????
the colors are wondeful!!! good luck!!!
awesome! i really dig this. good luck!
you sir, just got my vote :)
My kind of story and a kicking style to boot. My only minor itch is the coloring. At first the pastel look had me second guessing my vote but since you're in the top three, The least I can do is help you, with my vote :)
Well good luck this month
