In a world inundated with superheroes, Katherine Fields is a babysitter. As the black sheep of her family - a super-team known as the Wild Kingdom - Katherine struggles to find her place as a normal, un-powered daughter. While Katherine is quite content not to go into the family business, her father, the super-strong Silverback, and her mother, the high-flying Swan, aren't so sure. Her brother, Stag, could care less. However, when a routine night of babysitting turns into a villainous invasion, Katherine finds herself unintentionally transformed into a super strong heroine! At $8.00 and hour, it'll be a long night.

This is really cool. I hope there will be more to read soon. Meow!!!
I love this the art is on point i want more
I can see this on TV you should come down to Williams st. and tell the people at cartoon network to stop showing their recent BS and show this. Matter of fact print up and smack them with it.
OHH!! I totally want to read more!! Is there more soon!! Please say there is!!
This looks REALLY good! Great sense of humor too.
Good introduction. Clean art. I like it. I need more though.....
I've been keeping your comic as well as your Deviantart page in my favorites hoping to see some updates to Babysitter. Zuda has a great format and your art style fits it well. looking forward to more in the series, if there is more to come that is.
This comic is great. I'm a fan.
Very cute. It does have great potential! Keep it up! It's a fave!
I can see this as a series; comicbook or toon. It's a little "Sky High", but has potential.
This is just fun and the art style is great! It could easily translate to animation...
It has a crisp, fun feeling while you're looking at it. Nicely done.
There going to be any more of this one? Excellent artwork and story line... be a shame not to continue it on!
Awesome story. Great visuals I just want to see more.
Good set up. I like your art style. Can't wait to see more.
Sorry I was late to learn about Zuda and to vote to get this comic in the running. Hope this can go to another round? Keep going AmericanNinjaX, you have the chops to make this comic a real success! This comic is great! The art and color pop off the page, but the writing is even stronger. Good humor. Characters are defined well in such a short time. Defintely want to see more of Battlefield Babysitter! Have you submitted to Dynamite or Antarctic Press?
Will this continue?
nice comic...look forward to an update.
this is a pretty cool story...I'll keep coming back to see what's new.
Danke schoen, Matthew!
thanks for continuing this. i'll keep an eye on your site for updates.
New page up on the blog. ( http://battlefieldbabysitter.blogspot.com )
Looks like I'll be updating on Fridays from now on. Enjoy!
Bookmarked already and looking forward to new posts. My advice would be stick to the family relationships for a while and keep that 'voice' real. I think this strip has legs and probably should've won, but as long as you stick with it who knows, DC ain't the only publisher!
PS. More pics of Swan please, in the hooker boots, asap!
Sorry this one didn't make it to the permanency circle, but I'm glad it will continue elsewhere.
I'll be bookmarking that blog!
I'd like to see more BFBS. I'll be bookmarking your blog.
I want to take a last minute here to thank every single one of you for giving Battlefield Babysitter a chance.
For everyone interested in continuing the journey with Katherine and actually seeing some babysitter. Please continue to visit :

where I'll keep posting pages as we go. I opted for a blog because it'll keep the pages together unlike my deviantart page (which also has annoying ads if you're not a subscriber) and I don't want to pay a charge for a site that will eventually make me want to either charge for the comic or put more annoying ads on there.
So as of right now, the blog is empty but as soon as I'm given the okay from Zuda I'll repost the first 8 pages up there and then 9 will come along shortly after.
You know unless by some weird miracle I win this thing, then just keep coming back here for more BFB.
Thank you everyone. You've made this competition soooo much fun for me to be in and I'm going to keep coming back for new comics and voting and basic haberdash.
Matt,
You've been awesome! You've made a contest that could have been very rough pretty gosh darn enjoyable!
It looks like we are going to be 20 votes short on BFBS.
20 Favorites away. Votes are secret. It's still anybody's game.
It looks like we are going to be 20 votes short on BFBS. On the up side High Moon is a darn good comic in it's own right so it is a noble loss.
*drum roll*
I'm so anxious.
love the art!!!!!!!!! sold me on it plus the babysitter thing. would really like to read more! good dialogue too, funny and natural. great work!
Clever and fun. I enjoy it.
That too. =D
A man's heart?
haha. Swan could probably break a lot of a man's things. =D
I bet Swan could break a man's arm, no?
BAD ASS AS USUAL...WHERE'S MY TAT FOO...IM NOT GETTING ANY YOUNGER...
Nicely done artwork, simple straightforward storyline you can follow and enjoy, and good humor. worth reading
I consider myself to be quite picky about webcomics but your comic won me over really fast. Awesome artwork and a great story. You totally got my vote. :)
Definitely my favorite of the batch so far.
I love this comic! it better win!
And he's a ninja!
While I can understand why High Moon is ranked first, I think this is my personal favorite. I almost didn't read this because I wasn't drawn to the cover picture. I appreciate the fact that the artist did everything, because I know people are asking their friends to vote, and the comics with three creators can get a lot more people to vote for them.
@Matt. Sounds like a good way to go about it. I still have hope that I can read the comic here on Zuda, but I'll make sure to check DA for it if that's where it goes. Hope you don't mind if I go and add you on DA?
Page breaks are done using the code: < br > (closing up the space between the brackets).

@ drowemos
it never occurred to me to simply ask about how to make line breaks. :duh:
I noticed you and I are using a workaround but if there's a trick I'd be glad to hear it myself.
@AmericanNinjaX
You can create a pretty solid webcomic site using Istrip and a $3 webhost. Slap a paypal button and some project wonderful ads on there and you can make some decent money off of it. Not Zuda money mind you but not bad. If you have questions or want some help send me a note on DA (username Drowemos).
.
I love this comic and really want see it keep going.
.
PS: On a completely unrelated side note can anyone tell me how to put line breaks between paragraphs on the comment system?
I keep coming back to this comic. and the more i reread, the more i like! awesome work! the top two comics are definately the top two! congrats! looking forward to much, MUCH more!
Even more so than when I first commented I've come to have a great appreciation for the way BFBS is paced within the constraints of 8 pages.
@Melody. I'm still figuring that out right now. I may do it on DA but primarily I think I'll make a blog or something to keep all the strips together.
