@JSLoomis - I hope we were able to hold on to you after you made it through the others!

@Onegai213 - I agree!

@RobPivarnik - I know! I'm getting used to the limits of the tweets myself :)

@Frankie - I dunno, it's hard to say. You're the first to draw comparisons to The Hammer though.

@crackwalker - Thanks dude! I'd love to right more!

ryanovision - You post as much as you like dude, we love hearing from you! I'm not totally counting out the win yet. There's still a week and a half to go. I was just interviewed for the local paper, and I'm going to be spreading the word at Webcomics Weekend. I'm hoping that'll generate a whole lot of votes.

rkb - There's definitely more bonus stuff coming. What exactly it's going to be I'm going to leave a mystery until it gets posted :)

Bryy - I bought some ad space earlier on in the competition, but I've slowed down on that. I couldn't see that it was necessarily translating into votes.

While the first page of this comic is totally ugly as **** and boring and useless, it just gets better from there. The concept, frankly, is "blah", because after Mark Millar's Kick-Ass, everything else like it (kid superheroes...) just seems so derivative. I do like that the thugs were just stealing stuff that they wanted (DVD's), and I liked towards the end when the thugs were theorizing how Ultra-Man could have become a kid. The electricity kid is annoying, though, and I kept expecting one of them to just plain get shot in the face, but all in all, the strip grew on me by the time it was done.

I finally got up that present I mentioned. Head on over to the Zuda blog (http://zudacap.blogspot.com/) because Wally and I have prepared a short, completely new, supplemental comic to The Rejects! It takes place in the same universe and is about the character Eric is dressed up as. Wally did a great job again with the art, and I'm hoping it'll give a little more insight into the world our protagonists live in.

I wanted to have it this morning, but I left something I need to finish it on my work computer. For now I've just linked to a couple more reviews

@Ryanovision - Wow! Thanks dude! Oh what could I do with a montlhy XD

@frequentcontributer - Thanks a lot! I know you wouldn't say it if you didn't mean it and you've been around Zuda enough to see it all, so it means a lot to me.

Well, I just finished reading all of the comics, and when I went to vote, I found that this one was the best of the bunch, this month. For me, it was between you and Doorman Bill, and you swung me because yours if funnier. It doesn't look like you're going to win, but just know that you're the best, anyway. Good luck.

Hey everyone, help these guys out, it is, in my opinion, the best of the bunch this month! Stop giving your votes to the submissions that are just pretty to look at!! @stevapalooza - Crossing the streams would be "bad" Lol Thanks!

magoo666 - Thats some pretty high praise! I'll be sure to quote it whenever possible ;) I did want to make the villains likable, I don't plan for them to disappear after just one fight.

IkeDizzle - More high praise for my dialogue! Thanks! Maybe if I can get up to second place I can steal your vote ;)

Yes! Another comment from frequentcontributor! That guy is almost as funny as the dialog between the criminals! This has got to be the best written comic in the competition this month. Yes, it is even funnier than an elven Nick Fury. I love the fact that you're not taking yourself too seriously. Costumed heroes are still cool, and screw the derivative naysayers. I'll admit I didn't vote for the Rejects, but I did fave it, and definitely want more. Good luck. I think as long as you beat Panda Force you shouldn't be ashamed.
P.S. Did I use commas in the right place?

This has easily some of the very best dialog I've ever seen on Zuda. The biggest issue here is that the crooks and their hilarious arguments become the most likable thing in the story and begin to overshadow the actual protagonists.

Congrats on making it into the comp! Just remember the Zuda rules-- Never rat on your friends, and always keep your mouth shut. And don't cross the streams, and stay out of room 237. Oh and never, EVER feed a Timony after midnight.

Good strip. Pretty funny. I was a little confused by some of the panel layouts, but I'll give you the benefit of the doubt because I'm kind of stupid. Good luck!

Wow, after team feel-good on the renegade Harvey remake of "the Hammer", I don't know what to do here kingofsnake, lol. It's like voting for the goodfellas of Zuda. It took a while to get there but the payoff of dialogue on page 8 makes this a fav for me. The art needs to be a bit tighter, but I think this entry shows a lot of promise.

When Ultra-man, the world’s greatest superhero, is diagnosed with terminal cancer the government launches a secret black ops program designed to create a new generation of superheroes from abducted children. The program is soon scrapped as, “a terrible idea in the first place” and the children they’d been experimenting on are deposited back in their homes with no memory of the ordeal. Chris and Eric are two of these rejects. Chris quickly discovers he has some invulnerability and super strength. Unfortunately he has no control over whether or not his powers will work. Eric wakes up with control over electricity but using it drains his mental and physical energy like a battery, leaving him to pass out from exhaustion. Eric has been a fanboy his whole life and is eager to try to become a hero himself. All Chris ever wanted was to blend into the crowd, and suddenly it’s like trouble is just following him around. Now being normal seems to be out of the question, and being a superhero is a lot harder than they ever thought it would be.
Chris and Eric find themselves thrust deeper into the world of heroes and villains they’d only ever read about. As they discover more about their powers and super heroism in general, it seems only a matter of time before they begin to run into other rejects. For better or for worse.
