Wow - great stuff here, so far! Love the two different storylines going on, with the old comic and the new. I'd love to see MORE. Thanks for a cool story.

I caught that review over the weekend, Scott! Glad you like what I'm doing. And in response to a point you brought up over there.... well, I still can't really say anthing about the hiatus, except that I AM still working very hard on the strip. I am also currently plotting the fairly dense "I Tour the Night 2010" convention schedule repleat with special items that will only be available in person. In fact, I'm privy to unconfirmed rumors about several other Zuda creators also planning big convention-type things in '10, but you didn't hear that from me.....

I still have to be a little cryptic, but not for long at all. Big shifts in the tectonic plates that bind us happening VERY SOON, and we'll have a new start date for IRTN. Thanks again for your patience!

What that we could. As Ron's post implies, the IRTN hiatus hinges on two things, [REDACTED] and [REDACTED]. I really do appreciate everyone's patience, and I promise, we'll be coming backout of the gate with a doozy. Soon.

The reason for the unexpected hiatus will be revealed soon. All I can really say is that it's bigger than IRTN. I appreciate everyone holding the line for so long, and I've still been working my tail off over here, so hopefully when we go live again we can make up for lost time, eh?

Hi everybody - You may have noticed, we seem to have had a minor glitch on the most recent update. You may also have noticed that we appear to be on hiatus for the moment. The irony here is that, while the two are related, it's not in the way that you might think. Let's just say that when we come back in a few weeks, IRTN v2.0 will be just like the original, with a little extra kick. IRTN++ if you will. But that's all I can say for now...

@niklopez – Or maybe the opposite?
@Bagelman – She is kinda.
@ptimony – Well, she IS in a tank. Our Greek chorus is alluding to tings to come…
@Snuffle – It’ll all make sense.
@James Clayton – You can only take so many left turns before you’re heading in the direction that you started.
@coffeehousecomics – Thanks, Brother!
@steve steiner – Very much so. Brat Pack is one of my favorite books, and a lot of what I’ve done so far here is an homage to Veitch’s work (his other books are equally awesome including his current one from Vertigo, Army@Love). But sit tight.
@Bryy Miller – It will all make sense in the next few pages – which is why we’ve slowed down for the moment.

@oysterboy – I try. We here at IRTN central try to keep things entertaining.
@steve steiner – Yeah. Sorry. I could work faster, but it wouldn’t look so hot.
@grizzlywilliam – There aren’t enough opportunities to use a good French stereotype nowadays.
@korrected – It will keep going until there is no more.
@James Clayton – Glad you like.
@Ayographic – Took you long enough.
@ptimony – There are… similarities. But nothing to worry about.
@Snuffle – Yup. Deep down, Lainey’s just a person. Kinda.
@RKB – It’s no good having a goofball villain if you can’t use him.
@korrected – Well, it’s all about artifice and theatrics. Remember that.
@paulmckinneyart – And you shall have more crazy Lainey.

Seven years have passed since the death of Crane Carlson, aka the Night Devil, New York City’s only vigilante. In the years since, his faithful sidekick Shadowboy has mourned him, slowly going insane and becoming increasingly violent, all the while searching for any means with which to bring him back to life. But as we begin to learn more about the legacy of Crane Carlson, it becomes apparent that nothing is quite what it seems, and a mysterious new villain will threaten to bring Shadowboy’s reign of terror crashing to an end.
