Blood Hunter
Vampires rule the world, which has been uninhabited by humans for over a century. A group of blood hunters are sent to track down what seems to be a human bio-signature. One single living human being could very well mean the beginning of the end of a vampire ruled world. Vincent (a blood hunter) is the first to find the human, and to his surprise, finds a baby girl. Upon retrieving the girl he realizes that the vampires will kill her and then dissect her to learn what they can about her physiology. Vincent cannot allow this to happen, even though it betrays all the vampire beliefs, he feels a bond with the girl, something he hasn’t felt since he was a human, compassion. Now Vincent must decide whether to let the girl die along with what little humanity he has left, or to risk everything by protecting her.

This month's competitor Sci-Fi Drive-by has some bold predictions for the future.... including, if you zoom in on the shelf behind the librarian's head in the library scene, a print version of Blood Hunter!
Like the concept so far. The style of the artwork really fits with the premise. Interested to see where it will go, keep it up.
ok just wanted to say i really enjoy this story and I love page 52. you made me pick up my pencil at work
ooh. I like the red panels.
i just watched "daybreakers" and even though they borrowed a little from your plot & color palette, all i could do the whole time watching was wait 'till i get home and read more Blood Hunter. thanks for the entertainment!
Good stuff, dude.
page 50 needs to have a spot where it's available for download as a background, sans the speech bubble.
"human outbreak" ...awesome. keep it up!
I enjoy the story and your style, keep up the good blood.
Oh what's that smell...
sorry I fanarted.

It's nice to read a story where Vampires are terrifying, and not ambiguously gay.
Wow -- great stuff. Love the twist with the "bad" vampires actually being the protectors of the few remaining humans. I like your distinct art style, too. Looking forward to more pages!
ooooooooooo~ 'o'
Your style has changed quite a bit from the beginning, Some parts are better, but I think I like the stark contrasts of the start better than the soft shadows you're using now. Just a personal preference.
Great comic! I love the irony when the clawed hunter shows off how fast he is, then gets his claws cut off anyway. Very funny. Also, your use of reversing vampire classic story elements is very good. Most of the time the monstrous vampires are the hungriest ones, and the vampires are the ones underground. Oh and ol' Tarnaebus kicks ass.
Absolutely beautiful...
Love this comic. Reminds me of Vampire Hunter D in a way. Can't wait to see more.
love the art, and the story too, coming from someone pretty sick of the abercrombie & fitch vampires. looking forward to more, very inspiring.
Finally! Lets meet some hooomans!
Oooh. Oooh. Me like! I was a bit of a skeptic at the very beginning on this comic. The art is good, but not my usual style. I didn't think you'd be able to convey the emotions necessary. But it's REALLY grown on me. Can't wait to meet the other children.
I am dying to read more, absolutely great story and the art style is just so appropriate.
Oooooooo...what's next? What's next?!!? BTW, gorgeous artwork; a "feast," as they say (pardon the pun).
Great update since my last visit, Im practically only reading this comic on this site.
Keep up the good work, this comic rocks!
AND THE PLOT THICKENS!
i hope to catch an update really soon. This is awesome.
The art is really good, and the plot is interesting. The dialogue falls short in many places. Finally, the character archetypes are a bit over used.
Over all great job on the art and plot, it is totally worth the read.
I am playing catchup...I love this comic!!!
mhh there are top notch entries, and your one of them. cheers !
Great, great comic. Your cool palette makes your blood reds really pop. Just a cool art style. In a world of too many bad vampire stories,(mainly on TV), I am thankful I can come here to this site for some quality art, stories, and fun! Really like the horror comics here, yours obviously included. Please keep up your great work.
The guy with the claws reminds me of a Hunter from L4D. This is a really fun read though. every page is a cliff hanger. That's not easy to do.
google eyed guy gets b*tch slapped! je je
Loved it! great artwork and the story is well written. keep it up
I really like your art.
Oh snap, BFA (Big F**kin' Axe), what's gonna happen next?
Yeah the moment the baby its down I said "omg its going to be horrible!", by the way the guy with the huge axe its just damn cool!
I just realize that your vampires doesnt have pointy ears, nice detail.
Fake baby? Maybe?
Uh oh.... He put down the baby, I have a feeling it's gonna be whoopin' time!
LOVE IT! :D
tenshin- Thanks so much for the continued support, I greatly appreciate it. And thanks for the in depth questions and crits, it's always very helpful to see different points of view on the story. As far as your questions go, I think you may be making some assessments that I didn't exactly intend to come accross in the way you see them. Vincent isn't the fastest or strongest vampire in this world, nor is he impervious to being caught off guard. Also, there are indeed a few areas of the story that the readers will have to fill in for themselves and quite a few scenes that will need to be addressed in as few pages as possible so I can get this story told in 60 pages.
Again, thanks so much for taking the time and I hope you'll continue to stick with me :)
How this two or more vampires sneak behind Vincent back when he is able to see his movements before they ever do? that simple detail makes the dead of the pilot useless, why Vincent allow the vampires to kill the pilot?
Did you see the problem here?
Otherwise I still dig into this story, its in fact the only one that I follow here in zuda comics, somehow this has a certain dark charm for me.
Just keep in mind those little details that creates big plot holes, like a vampire so fast that allow two or more vampires to sneak in front of him and kill the only person that is helping him just for the fun of it.
Maybe Im too critical here, just because Im fan.
Aw shucks!
ptimony- While your detective skills are amazingly astute they hardly come close to matching the comic talent of you and your brother. I heart NIGHT OWLS and everyone else should two!
...and yes the wacky blood hunter hijinks will continue ;)
Thank you all for the very kind words!
Melonie!!! thank you so much for your continued interest and excitement. It really means alot to me :)
RE: Panel 3. I highly doubt "It's over". Especially since this is only page 30.
Goodness, this is compelling!!!
Wooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!
Of course you´re faster man...
this is great men...
Your Colors, your illustrations are just magnific.
Big job, i´m on it...
I second what Melonie wrote. There's nothing like a man who can hold a baby and swing a sword. I wait for your new pages anxiously. Dark, moody, great villains, good action. I really enjoy this story and artwork.
LOVE the new page! He sure put the hurt on him while holding a baby, now that's impressive! :p
Can't wait for the new screen tomorrow!!! First thing I'm going to do when I get home from work is read it, I am stoked!!!
Really like the way this reads, and the art is great too! Good job!
